What's the difference between 'preserving' wedding dresses and 'cleaning and boxing' wedding dresses?

This was my dilemma too because there was such a price differnce between the two. IMO the dress is going to turn yellow eventually, whether 10 or 20 years from now and I will never wear it again!! I went with the cleaning and boxing at my local dry cleaners for a fraction of the cost!

I got my dress preserved from wedclean for 130 bucks, great price (that is including 20 bucks for the veil)
