Take the R/W to Cortlandt Street- when you walk upstairs, you'll be facing ground zero.

walk up 34th street along Macys. when you get to Broadway (the first major Ave) you'll see the stairs for the subway go down the stairs to the subway and take the R train DOWNTOWN.

Penn Station.
Or the E train to the last stop.
(This is your best bet---you don't have to exit Penn Station.)

N/R to Cortland ACE to World Trade Center: walk south on church street 2/3 to Park Place: get off at Church Avenue- not where the escalator is- where the stairs are. Then walk south on church street.
