What is the normal procedure for RSVP's on wedding invitations. If the bride doesn't live at home, do the cards go back to her or her parents?

Re: What's the normal procedure???
If you and your FI are paying for the bulk of wedding then have the rsvp go to you whether or not you live at home I did this 31 yrs. ago & my daughter is doing the same now

Traditionally the host (the person footing the bill) gets the RSVP.
However, it doesnt have to be that way. I don't think most guests look at the card and say --'Oh my the RSVP is going to XXX, when it should be going to YYY'
Have it sent to someone who is organized and will keep track of the yes and no rate. I wanted to do it and my mother would have been slow at keeping me informed, since she was traveling a lot during the wedding preparations.
