whats the one thing your obsessive about for the wedding

its so weird but im adamant about not serving any beer bottles at the wedding. im just a weirdo who thinks everything looks better in a glass. some people have said thats bridezilla of me but i honestly dont care its my biggest pet peeve, putting my lips on a bottle or can just skeeves me out!

also i'd really prefer it if the waiters/waitresses took drink orders at the table so that people dont end up milling around by the bar but i know i dont really have control over that happening

im just curious if other people have little things like this or im just crazy

LOL just kidding!!

i have a million and one things im obsessive about but one that comes to mind now is there are 3 or 4 pppl that are just lousy drunks (family and friends) one friend at the last wedding, did a somesault and hit his head and had to be dragged out of westbury manor (he was also in the bp and in mine as well) so yeah, im obsessing over making sure certain ppl DONT get too many drinks loll

I don't think that this is Bridzilla at all I just went to a wedding at a nice catering hall and was taken aback that they served beer in bottles I thought it looked tacky IMO.

As for what I am obsessive about it.... Everything! FH keeps telling me that I over think everything!

I didn't have service things that I was obsessive about but I was obsessed with how I wanted the room set up. I had a vision in my head and wouldn't let it go. Luckily everything was perfect and spot on!

Side note: SIL wedding did not allow for bottled beer. Everything had to be poured into a glass. MANY!! people had issues with this and thought it was more annoying than anything else....

I don't think it's ridiculous to ask for no bottles. I do think that the fact that the guests complained is rather odd. It's FREE BOOZE! Get over it. It's not like they didn't drink it otherwise right?!

thats exactly what i was thinking!! but my BIL says that it tastes better from the bottle. i think hes just busting my chops. i cant really see people whining to me or FH that they get their beer poured in a glass. your right free is free and free always tastes delicious even when poured in a glass!

this was FH's request too. he hates those tiled ceiling. I refused to have ugly carpet lol

I am obsessive about the timeline...i dont care about much else but need to know exactly what vendor is coming when and when we need to be where, etc. im going to drive everyone crazy the day of the wedding if they are a minute late...i need a drink just thinking about it!!

FH OBSESSED over the menu...not the food selection, the actual menu. our RH does not provide one so he wanted me to make one. he made me change 'mixed vegetables' to 'vegetable medley', he called the RH to find out if it was mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, etc. he drove me INSANE! but they are printed and done...phew!

he is at least done with his obsession...mine is just beginning

I've been a little 'zilla about a few things lol.

1- My invitations were a BIG deal!!! I needed them to be perfect - and they are!

2- I NEED chair covers.

3- I do NOT want the napkins to be in the cups. I don't know why - I just hate it!

Ummmm HELLO. How did I not know about this?!?!?! This was my #1 thing, too! I couldn't see like 25 halls on LI because of this! It literally cut so many halls off my list. I can't believe you were the same!!!!

I was so crazy obsessive over this that when my FIL saw HWC, he was making fun of me going on and on about the ceilings and how gorgeous they are (which they are) but the BM thought he was being serious and then proceeded to tell a story about when they were installed and how much she loves them.

AND EVERY Vender we used we strictly dealt with that one person and they were there that day I don't like BS and he said she said

Just one?
I have about 100! I was super picky when it came to my dress, hall, music, photographer and videographer. Although I obsess about all the small details, those big ones are what’s going to make or break the wedding for me.
