good question.
I was planning on wearing it for pure sexiness. I'm not tossing it either.

I don't think I want one either, I'm scared it'll cut off circulation to my beasty thighs.

Re: whats the point?
I found this:
Garters were originally used to hold up stockings and are still regarded by many brides as an essential wedding accessory. Wearing something Blue often takes the form of a wedding garter incorporating a blue bow or a small Blue Bow stitched into the lining of the Wedding Gown. The significance of the colour blue is that it represents Constancy and Loyalty and from biblical times a symbol of Purity

i was wondering the same thing - i know it's tradition. hope they come in XXL!
i was going to do something cute for FH, to get one with his scottish tartan... since he was complaining that he couldn't wear a plaid vest (doesn't match the color scheme!) - but we're not going to do the toss.... i'm not sitting there while he puts his hands up my dress in front of everyone we know!!!

I plan on doing the bouquet and garter toss .. I am kinda stuck since I am also a plus size bride. I'm kinda scared that it would make me unconfortable and itchy.
Knowing FH he's going to make a production out of it. ..lol
Anyone know where they make larger size garters?

Re: whats the point?
I am afraid it will either:
1. Cut off all circulation in my leg 2. Keep falling down
I don't think I am going to wear one... one more thing to worry about
I might bring one to the honeymoon though -- are they actually sexy??
