We have a cat named Osama Bin Kitty - b/c her mom abandoned her. She was bottle fed and had no momma cat interaction so the first year of her life she was SO bad. Her original name was Twix.
And my bro has a cat named Jiapita (pronounced Juh-Peeta) acronym for Justin (my bro) Is A Pain In The Asss - another rescue cat that is NUTS.
It is so slow at work so I'm bored out of mind, sorry!

I had a 3-legged cat (may she rest) who wasn't born that way, but due to circumstances, we had to amputate. Anyway, that's the back story. Her name was Precious. Not strange at all... until you hear the rest of her name....
Precious Pearl Buddy Claire Tripod Calitsa Elvis
I'll go thru how she got such a big name. Throughout the years we added these names.
Pearl - I went to John PEARL Elem School and that is where we got her. She was orphaned.
Buddy - My mom felt it was important to pay some respect to the president and his furbaby. Pres. Clinton had a dog named Buddy.
Claire - Precious was 'chubby' and we were obsessed with the movie The Breakfast Club. Well, there was a character named Claire and a line in the movie that goes a little something like this (hit it!).. John: What's your name? Claire: Claire. John: Claaaaire? Claire: Yes, it's a family name John: No, it's a fat girls name. Claire: I'm not fat.
We got carried away, OK.
Tripod - She got that when she lost the leg.
Calista - After Calista Flockhart. Precious got sooooo skinny towards the end of her life and well, Calista Flockhart is waify!
Elvis - Precious had a stroke and it effected the left side of her face causing her lip to get stuck on her teeth.
We loved her!!
Kim, My friend was pregnant w/ a little girl 2 years ago. I asked her what names she liked. She said she really loved Claire. I said 'that's a fat girl's name'. She got sooo pissed but she named the baby Sarah!

To add....Daisy's name was almost Barky Von Boxer (idea we got from a commercial)!
Hahaha I love it!!! And that commercial is great... I have it on my favs and I replay it like crazy to put myself in a good mood

that's a Chow Chow, and he's PERFECTION!!!!! we had a fish that my brother named, 'dead in 24 hours' he was one of those carnival fish, wound up lasting nearly a year!!!

My sister has a cat named Peanut, but we call him Kitty Witty.
My Aunt had a black and white cat named Pete. When they moved upstate NY they took in a stray cat who was also black and white and they named him Re Pete. Yup, Pete and Repeat.
The best (& saddest) is a co-worker has a cat who when it was born had the ambilical cord wrapped around its neck. So its neck muscle must have been disfunctional from this and the cats head was ALWAYS tilted. Its name was Crooked...lol awww- poor kitty.
Oh- in Jr. high- I had a hampster named Joey (after Joey from NKOTB )

We have a cat named Echappe. Yes she jumps and runs around and gives me lots of choreography ideas. She is also a little diva!!!
Echappe means to jump and or escape in ballet.

My dogs realy name is Brook-Lynn (we bought her in Brooklyn lolz..)but somehow we started calling her Tutty..which then turned into Tutz..and now I call her Tutty footz...I'm scared of whats next...
OoOo when we first got her I used to call her sweety puss...one day I messed up and called her sweet pu$sy...lolz..so that name got thrown away quickly...
My brother named his turtle fluffly :)
And I have a neigbor who named his dog dee-ooo-gee..get it? DOG spelled out lolz...
