Anybody familiar with a weird shooting pain that runs down like kind of the lower back, hip area down the back of the leg? I hate to complain...but it's been bothering me...I don't know if maybe I pulled something? But it doesn't really feel like that. Is this pregnancy related? Maybe some kind of nerve?

it does sound like Sciatica, but make sure to mention it your next OB appt. They'll want to know about it. I know there is a special nerve back there that the baby can sit on that is reeeeeeeeeeally painful and puts some women on bedrest. So they need to know cause they can tell the difference, between the two.

Ask Michele...to me, it sounds like a compressed nerve pain...I had it too, and it got worse AFTER the baby was born!

If it runs down the back it is siatica (sp?). It is VERY common in pregancy. Going to the chiropractor has helped that problem A LOT for me. Ice also seems to help me when it flares up.
If it is a more localized pain in near your hip/groin area in the front of your thigh it is more likely a compressed femmoral (sp?) nerve, which is my big problem. There is ZERO they can do for that.

Can you get this even when your not pregnant? I sometimes get the same pain and I can't even step down on my foot. Its horrible and scary
