Sometimes when people are new they don't realize that the post is old....

Yeah, LIW should really put the date of the original post under the Original poster's name or somewhere... it would just be helpful in general.

When you try to post to a topic that is old there is a big red box that comes up saying 'THIS POST IS OVER 'X' WEEKS OLD' and prompts you to post a newer topic...I guess its not very prominent though because people don't see it

No, THAT I see, but sometimes somethings a couple weeks old and I'm not sure if I read it or not yet and I don't know if it's new.. I dunno, I just feel like the date should be on the board somewhere before you open the post. But that's just me. Lazy, lazy me
