What's up with my dad's friend

My dad used to work with his friend but they have went separate ways but still remain friends. He keeps calling me with people to invite to MY wedding and makes sure to EMPHASIZE and GUEST when he is telling me who to invite. Excuse me I don't even know these people. I told my dad and he is just going along with it. I told my dad we need to end this list, I can't function unorganized. His friend needs to stop calling me with names of who I think is really his friends but my dad does know some of these folks but I would rather the names come from my dad.
