the internet is a very iffy thing. Sometimes if you lose connection you'll also lose every IM you received. I wouldn't be too upset about it, even if she didn't answer you back because she is upset that you didn't wish her a happy birthday on her actual birthday she'll get over it.

I agree with this. It is possible the connection was lost or maybe she was away from the computer. The best thing you did was say your sorry, if she decides to hold a grudge, its on her.

I know what youa re saying, I def agree im not going to be all upset about it, cause really i can't be bothered and its not that big of a deal, but the thing is, i don't beleive it was a lost connection, because she has done this to me several times in the past.

it's funny that she got mad at you for not saying happy birthday but it's not a big deal for her not to mention your message.

i know how you feel, b/c my SIL does this a LOT. she gets really upset when we forget to call her back or email her back, but she does it to us ALL the time. it's kind of a double standard...but what can you do??

i know you already said you're just gonna let it go and i'm glad you are. but i do understand how you feel. i'd be annoyed too.
