What's with all the talk about cockus?

All I hear in the news is cockus, cockus, cockus.

And why is Iowa's cockus so special? Hmm? Is their cockus any better than say, Nebraska's cockus?

A cockus is just a rather large poll.

a cockus is the most special of all the large polls.

and one of the only times people come together on a cockus is during a presidential election year. perhaps its the sheer enormity of it...people ttend to ride them all the way to the finish. they can't get enough of the cockuses.

I am not too into politics, but a cockus gets my attention.
