What's wrtong with Hollywood?

Didn't she JUST get divorced?

The Associated Press

Tori Spelling is engaged, just months after separating from her first husband, People and Us Weekly magazines reported Tuesday.

Actor Dean McDermott, who has been dating the former 'Beverly Hills, 90210' star for several months, proposed Christmas Eve in Toronto.

'We're so incredibly happy and in love. We cannot wait to start our lives together,' the couple said in a joint statement to People. Us Weekly first reported the engagement.

Spelling, 32, and McDermott, 39, met earlier this year while working on the TV movie 'Mind Over Murder.'

In October, Charlie Shanian filed for divorce from Spelling, a little more than a year after they married.

McDermott filed for divorce from his wife of 12 years, Mary Jo Eustace, in September. They have one child together.

Spelling's father is television producer Aaron Spelling.

Or an underwear model...

True - but I do believe that it's easier to try to break into the underwear modeling world than into rap. Hmmm -- perhaps I'll forward this message onto Kevin Federline....

I am not defending, but let's not pretend that such divorces don't happen to non-celebs. The difference is that it is not all over the media.

very true. IMO Hollywood just does what they want having money to some people makes you accountable to no one!!

Umm as far as David Silver and Kevin Federline, at least David Silver or Brian Green i think that is his name, was or is adorable, Kevin Federline is dirty in every way....

I agree.

my theory is that many hollywood people get so much HANDED to them, and people like Tori Spelling especially - she has been CATERED to her whole life. Marriage is work, and many of them don't want to work on a relationship - its easier just to go find someone else and say 'this time it will be easier!' They live in movie land (literally and figuratively) and have lost sight of reality.

All of the recent divorces, especially the ones tht come after bazillion dollar, highly publicized weddings, are completely insulting to the REAL institution of marriage!

Just thought that these facts were interesting and sad. Again, Hollywood gets the publicity, but they are not alone in their lack of commitment to their marrigaes.

43% of first marriages end within 15 years.
Red states have a divorce rate 27% higher than blue states.
75% of all divorced people re-marry, half of them within three years.
