What's your fave registry item?

Original post by Soon2bMrsB91511

DO NOT SAY KEURIG.
I have no interest in one.

What is something that either you or FH have/are hoping to get....we're almost done finalizing our 2 registries and can use a few more ideas...

Re: What's your fave registry item?

let's see... fav things on my registries... well we have a zojorushi bread maker and a zojurushi rice cooker on there, and a fancy all clad crock pot from william sonoma (the insert can go on the stove!)... we got some delice dessert bowls from c&b for an engagement present, i adooooore them. we have some really practical things that are still really good... metal mixing bowls from bbb that are coated in rubber so you can hold onto them easier and they dont slide around the counter... cutting boards... knives....immersion blender....

also did you register for a food processor?

Everyone keeps talking about this food processor!

I honestly am no Betty Crocker in the kitchen, so I'm not 100% sure what type of use I would get out of a food processor...

What exactly are you primarily supposed to use it for?

in general, you can use it to puree things, grate/shred things, and slice things

more specifically, i use it to make things like hummus, pesto, chimichure, bean dips, salsa, etc. you can use it to grate/shred things - cheese, whatever. I love it for potatoes when I make latkes for Hanukkah, use it to make Haroseth at Passover. Make fresh breadcrumbs with it, use it to chop up veggies...

Re: What's your fave registry item?

We already have the Samsonite 360 spinner luggage--it's awesome, we love it! We were thinking of upgrading to Tumi, but I don't think anyone would ever buy us that because its so

We hope to get the kitchenaid mixer too. I wanted the hot pink one, but FH put the kibosh on that quick, so we're registered for the brushed stainless steel one (goes with everything).

We're also registered for a $450 dyson. Don't know if that one's gonna happen LOL

Re: What's your fave registry item?

My whole thing about the registry is 'if your register for the cheap $hit, you're gonna get the cheap $hit'.

That's not to say that if you register for expensive things you're gonna get them for sure, but I at least want to let people know, 'hey, i can buy my own freakin' ladle!'

AHHHHHHH we just removed this!!! I LOVED that!

But, we decided to remove it from our list bc FH figured that if anyone is willing to spend $300, there's a bunch of other things (that we actually do need and will use more frequently than the margarita maker) we would rather have for that money...

I thought the same thing... But what about your wishing well items? Fh & I live together & own most of the little things already, I know we're having a wishing well. Instead of leaving it to chance & getting a dozen lettuce knifes we registered for a bunch of items thatbat $15 and under...

Ahhhh that sounds amazing!!! I could KILL FH for removing it LOL!! (FYI- his other reason for removing it was the calories per marg! )

He has been (oddly) controlling with the registry lol.

I kinda do wish we still had it on there, but I totally agree with him...if you're willing to shell out $300, there's other things we need a lot more...

See, I don't know what the deal is with this....if you're having one...are you supposed to put this on the shower invite? Mine are going out tomorrow, and I def did not put that on there

SoontobeMrsH Posted:

Re: What's your fave registry item?

Yes, it goes on the invite, so I guess your ok w/ not having wishing well items since your not having a wishing well

Soon2bMrsB91511 Posted:

Re: What's your fave registry item?

I can add it in...but I just don't know how it'll look

What exactly goes in a wishing well?

I've never been to a shower before, so i don't know the protocol...
