What's your favorite semi-healthy dinner to cook?

I'm about to go food shopping in a few hours, and I'd like to try something new (and hopefully at least somewhat healthy).

We eat a lot of pasta, lasagna, grilled chicken, stir fry, etc and are looking to try something new. Any ideas?

what do you put in it?

Ingredients:

-boneless/skinless chicken breast cut into chunks
-1 or 2 tablespoons butter (depending on the amount of hot sauce)
-hotsauce (to taste)
-celery
-romain
-blue cheese dressing

brown the chicken (seasned with salt and pepper) in a touch of olive oil. After it is browned, turn off the heat, put in the butter and hotsauce (as much as you want) stir it up to coat. Cut up the lettuc and celery (bt size pieces) add chicken and dressing... thats it

thank you! that sounds really good. FH is obsessed with making wings with the budweiser hot sauce and this seems like a slightly healthier alternative

GOYA chick peas
save 1/2 cup of the chick pea juice
2 garlic cloves or more depending on how you like it
1 lemon juice
good amount of olive oil and at the end on top of it
salt and pep

put all in the blender and mix it until you get a good consistency not too watery , it should have a good thickness but not too thick

thank you! that's so much easier than i thought! how much lemon juice? also, is it better to use a blender or food processor if we have both?

There really isn't anything to bad about it it is only a tablespoon or so of butter, no coating on the chicken, it isn't fried, and get any kind of blue cheese dressing you want, it can be fat free or whatever you want.

a half of a lemon is ok or maybe if you have it in the bottle maybe a couple of teaspoons, it just gives it that kick. I think you can use a food processor just as long as it blends it to a good thickness. Fh makes it for me , we are practicing for when we get married, we will be eating hummus all day, everyday, hahahahahaha. But its quick, simple and good for you
