Paul Mitchell Special Shampoo Tea Tree!
LOVE this stuff.
I have thick hair and it's heavy. I also have very dry scalp that flakes.. Love love love this Tea Tree Shampoo. It leaves my scalp with a cool feeling, like you get when you eat peppermint.

Dont use conditioner.. dont like the heavy greasy feeling.

I dont blow dry, curl or set my hair. I dont brush it when it's wet either, so I don't get a lot of damage.

How long does it take to dry it?

I have such thick head of hair that I have to dry it. Otherwise if I go to bed with it wet I wake up like the bride of Frankenstein and in the a.m. I won't leave the house with it wet unless it's the summer and even then it has to be just damp/dry.

I'm a Pantene 2-1 girl...for volume. But I switch off so my hair doesn't get used to it....I'm dying to try the NEutrogena shampoo but I always say it's too much money. I also LOVE the conditioner from Bath and Body Works in the purple bottle...smells great and leaves my hair silky smooth

I let it sit in the towel for a bit then I towel it off really well. I let it sit about a half hour or so till it's just damp. I brush it when it's mostly dry. Brushing it helps keep it tangle free plus for some reason its NOT as tangled if I let it dry first naturally. All and all almost an hour before I go to bed.

Hence I don't do morning showers. I hate to fuss with the hair. My hair is layered and longest layer just past my collar bone which is short for me. heh

You need a good absorbant towel!

I really Love Herbal Essence. But lately Ive been using garnier fructis (sp) and its alrights. Herbal essence makes my hair shinier. Fructis seems to make my hair feel thicker and I can do more stuff with it. I have the same problem as Rachel!

There's a line of Everyday shampoos/conditioners from Neutrogena that isn't expensive, and certainly less expensive than Pantene and B&BW. They're in translucent bottles - I use the 'Clean Volume' kind. They're really good.

I love Bath and Body Works stuff too - I use their volumizing line sometimes. Especially the root lifter spray.
