I encountered this dilemma.....so I changed my dress altogether so I could wear a flower...
Perhaps wear the tierra at the ceremony/pictures and then wear the flower at the reception?
However, generally speaking if you have a ball gown a flower is too informal! HTHS!

I def like the idea of a flower in your hair, especialyly for a summer wedding. I love this look. Maybe try hair pins instead of a tiara. I got some nice one's on ebay. (Crystal & pearl).

well i think it depends on the style of the dress - i have seen pics of girls on here with flowers instead of tiaras with ballroom gowns on
