Originally our budget was $20-25k. Now we are up to $30k and this is without the rings and the HM. It has caused many disagreements between FH and I because we are over budget (some of it is my fault though).
Reception- $45,000 Flowers $12,000 Band $12,000 Music $1200 Limo $1200 Misc $800 Gifts $1,000 Hotel $1,200 Tux $free (grooms is free rental) photog $4000 Video$2,500 Honeymoon-$10,000
With stuff im sure I forgot (between tipping etc)
About $90,000- $100,000
wish i had ur budget

Re: What's your total budget??
Such a waste of money! Girls think wisely. It is 5 hours of one night that trust me goes by in the blink of an eye. U can have a wonderful and elegant wedding for much less. Cut your guest lists to people who really only matter and people you keep in contact with, cut back on stupid favors that are just more junk and clutter that no one needs or wants in there home, cut the chair covers to match your wedding colors, cut the huge cocktail and venetian hours. In the long run none of this matters. Everything adds up. I saved greatly because I bought my headpiece and veil on ebay for 20 bucks, my flower girl baskets, guest books/pen, money holder, garder all for 40 bucks. Once again its 1 night to which you will never use the stuff again nor will you ever probably look at it more than 5 times in your lifetime and that is alot. I did not do the chair covers it is not necessary. cocktail hour i did not do i had drinks and hour devours served but no extensive cocktail hour that saved me a bunch. There are ways to get around spending 20 and over for your wedding. The bottom line is all this money for one night which goes by in the blink of an eye when u can use that money for a home down payment you way which means more or a start to a fund for a home one day it really makes a difference. Not to mention more than half of marriage fail in the first 5 years. Just being realistic here. I was married in December and trust me the night was over before I could even get to enjoy it.

Didn't you post on anotherr thread about this and get blasted already...come on now. That is your opinion. You don't know anyone's budget so you can't just come out and say its a waste of money. Most girls dream of this day from a little girl so they want to make it a reality. Obviously you think its a waste but others might not so just be mindful of that when you post on every thread having to do with money
