Omg I'm dreading having to take the mothers out. They get along great but my moms a pain in the a$$ sometimes lol Plus I know I'm going to hear complaining from both that all the MOB/MOG dresses make them look like old ladies, they're too frumpy etc...its a day of b*tching lol

Re: When
You still have time. I would say 6-8 months prior to your wd date in case they have any alterations with their gowns- which most likely will happen or anything that is not in stock. Depends on where you are looking to go. Also if gives you enough time- incase they are picky.
Good luck- don't drink too much that day j/k.

Re: When
I agree, I would start looking soon. Sometimes they take a few months to come in

Re: When
My mom asked if she could wear pants lol - shes been on WW for over 10 years and keeps loosing and gaining the same 2 pounds. So you can see why ive been avoiding shopping with her like the plague

Re: When
I wouldnt dare take the moms together. They dont get along but are civil to each other. I have two trips to make to get their dresses. I will probaly go shopping 6-7 months before.

Re: When
I don't think dresses take as long as some of these bridal shop people say they do. I think they say that so you order right away. Mine said if we started looking for mom dresses and BM dresses in January they would arrive with plenty of time to make alterations. She said we should order in the spring for late October.

Re: When
I am only going dress shopping with my Mom for her dress. But I dont know when since she keeps saying she is going to loose weight before the wedding!! HELLO mom you need to get measured and the dress could take awhile MAKE UP YOUR MIND haha
I would never go with FMIL for the fact that she will probably not get her dress at a bridal shop she will just go on her own and not tell anyone how much it costs so she can spend mucho $$$ on it. Plus she wont want anyone to see it before hand so. And I dont know I dont feel comfortable going dress shopping with her. I am only going to ask if she wants to come see my dress after I buy it- so when I get fitted for it!

Re: When
Both MOB and MOG refuse to look at dresses until they loose weight. I will not be going with MOG because her idea of classy and mine is different. But I have made it very clear that there will be no pant suits, no white and or ivory, no black, or no to the color of the bridesmaid dresses. My mom on the other hand wore a great dress for my sisters wedding so I know she'll do the same for mine.

Re: When
I am trying to get my mom to go. I am hitting the 7 month mark and she hasn't even tried on anything. She is having a hard time finding something she likes.
