When and how do I shop for this....

I'm a little clueless about this part. I ordered my gown and I have a good idea of what veil I want but am I supposed to wait until my gown comes in to find veils and a headpiece? How will I know if they will go with the gown?
Am I supposed to wait until the first fitting or am I supposed to have them before then?

Also -- can someone tell me when Tri-County is open? I know it's only like 3 days out of the week....

I thinkt hat's why tey try to sell you veils at the bridal shop. They are usually pricey though.

I don't think you need it before your fitting.
Maybe at your first fitting they can give you some to try on so you can get an idea of what you want.
then, just keep the picture with you when you shop.

I'm not sure when to get mine either.
the headpice depends on my haristyle, which i won't know till I go for a trial, but I am suppsoed to have the headpeice for the trial, right?
I'm not sure how to work that.

You have time to shop around for a veil. My bridal salon told me that the veil only takes 4-5 weeks to come in. Did you try on veil samples where you got your dress?

I would contact where you ordered your dress from and see if they can give you a sample of your dresses material. That way you can look for veils and see if it matches your dress. If they can't give you a sample see if the salon/store is able to give you a picture of the dress.

I went to patchogue floral and just found something I loved for my headpeice. I made sure that because it had pearls on it that they were white (like my dress) instead of ivory. Its universal enough that I can pretty much wear my hair anyway I want. I had a very vague idea of what I wanted and a vague idea of how I wanted my hair. PF has like 200 headpeices so I was able to just have the woman pull and pull and pull all different samples until I fell in love with one.

I bought my dress in September and my headpiece in Novemer/early december. I ordered it and they said 6 weeks, it was in in 2! I havent bought my veil yet but because I want something pretty simply I am just going to go back to PF and get a fingertip length veil. If you want somethign more intricate then maybe you will want to wait...but its soooooo much cheaper when you DONT go to the Bridal stores for these items!
