I know night before is ideal for bridal party, if they're not centrally located and/or OOT guests. We're not having our OOT guests (we hardly have any and they all have family here so it would be opening a bigger can of worms). I'd rather do it on the thursday before my saturday wedding. I know it's selfish, but I want relax the night before. I don't want to drink alcohol or eat anything salty b/c I get puffy so easily. And my future in-laws will definitely want to party. LOL.
So what are you doing?

My wedding is on Saturday, so my rehearsal is on thursday, then were going straight to dinner.

we're getting married on a sunday afternoon and having our RD on the friday before. we know how we like to party and i'd like to have a whole day to recup from rd before the wedding. we're having a backyard bbq/pool party at FIL's house. i do have 2 OOT BM's who might not be able to make it, but its ok, as long as the guy they're walking down with knows what hes doing they're going to be just fine.

Ours is not scheduled yet, but I want to do it 2 nights before with the dinner right after.
I just don't want anything planned for the night before the wedding so I can relax and/or get anything last minute or organize or whatever.

we are most likely have it as a brunch the day b4, same reason, i have to get up very early the day of and i dont want a dinner that could run late and up late.. so we need to accomindate the oot guests that only come in the day b4, so brunch was the next best thing

We are doing it the night before, we are getting married at the RH so we prob won't even get a real rehearsal, but FMIL insists on hig a dinner or everyone(who I am I to stop her ) And the best part is she wants to have it at the Irish Coffe House. I love, love, love that place!!! I hope we have it there!!! But we want to do it thenight before for all the same reason you don't want to have it the night before. The more people Ican spend time with before the wedding the more time I will have to enjoy my dy! Good Luck having it the week before!

Our RD will be two days before on Thurs, Nov. 1st........after dinner we are all going out partying and I wouldn't do that the night before the wedding.

We had ours on Saturday, the day before the wedding. It was a lunch from 1 to 3pm I just really liked having a lunch I had the whole rest of the afternoon to relax!!! XOXOXO Kitty

We had ours 1 week before the wedding, It worked out perfectly. We were able to have a few drinks because we were off for the weekend and if we ate salty foods, we had plenty of time to get the 'puffiness' out of our face! It really did work out with time and it got us so siked for the following week!
I think a night before is too much, but I know a couple who had theirs 2 nights before and they said that worked out great too!

our wedding is saturday. our rehursal is thursday. all our oot who are part of the wedding will be in then....friday night i think we are having a 'welcome' dinner for all our oot family to get together at my parents house....just really casual.

We are having it the night before... just easier I think for out of towners coming in. & i think it is a fun thing to do th enight before to calm the nerves!

We are having our rehearsal and dinner Thursday for a Saturday wedding. Since our wedding is during the day saturday it just seemed like way too late to have it Friday. We are planning something fun for the guests on Friday, we are renting out a picnic area at Long Beach and throwing a beach barbeque. I don't think there's anything wrong with having it two nights before as long as you plan something for the day before.

We are having ours the night before. Rehersal from 5:30-7. Rehersal dinner from 7 pm on...our ceremony isn't until 4 pm the next day so we don't have to be up super early!

im gonna try for night b4 bc of OOTers but if we dont have as many as expected, id like to have a BBQ (very casual RD) around here (im in PA) before all guests head to LI. so, i guess, im undecided! who knows!

Rehearsal & rehearsal dinner are the night before the wedding. My FIL's wanted it that way, and they're footing the bill for it (yay!), so no complaints from me!
