I'm itching to get it up!!! I think I'm over-excited and ambitious to get it up since it's our first Christmas married and in our new home.....when do you put yours up?

normally we do it the day/weekend after thanksgiving
BUT this year we will be away on our honeymoon....so we have to wait until we get back!!!! so probably 12/13

We usually do the weekend of Dec 11 as a kid because that is my sisters birthday......so I will do the same tradition

OMG - I am such a Christmas freak. It's my FAVORITE holiday (no wonder I'm having a Christmas Wedding. lol). I was super excited to see all the Christmas stuff out in the Mall & at Walmart. No Christmas Music yet obviously, but the decorations alone make me all giddy. heehee. I can't wait to put the tree up, but my family usually waits until the day after Thanksgiving. As soon as I'm married, me & FH might need to start putting up ours much much earlier though. lol

We usually put it up the friday after Thanksgiving, but since this year, its a day before the wedding, we'll be putting it up the Saturday before the wedding! I cant wait! I get soo excited for Christmas!

I normally put it up the day after Thanksgiving or that weekend, but this year we have so much stuff in storage blocking the tree so we'll have to do something on a much smaller scale until we get a house next year.

Do you put up a real tree or a fake one? If you put up a fake one, you should do it this weekend or next and celebrate your tradition early...so at least before you leave you can enjoy it and when you get back it will be up and put you in the holiday mood!

We just bought ours last weekend, don't worry. I looked all around and found the best trees for the best prices at Home Depot. Most places want over 200 for a full, 7.5' tree...HD has them for either $149.99 and $199.99...both are prelit in either white or multi-colored lights....they are so pretty!

It seems as if the day after Thanksgiving is the most popular. DH works the day after, so we'll have to wait until that Saturday. He thinks I'm nuts, but I wanted to put it up this weekend. We aren't entertaining at our house for the holidays, so it's not like family would be here for Thanksgiving and see the tree and then have the same setting for Christmas. Oh well, I guess I should wait, as DH said, since Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away.

I've always had a real tree at home and we put it up the first or second week of December...I'd love to get it earlier..but I'm afraid it will die..
