When booking a florist...

...do you have to know exactly what you want?

I have a general idea, but I dont know colors yet. I am not too picky about specific types of flowers and will work with whatever is in season.

In order for them to quote you, they'll need to know pretty much what type of flowers (whether they have to import them), the kind of centerpiece (high vs low) and the kind of vase. You do not necessarily need to know the color flowers.

I brought the swatch of my BM dresses and pics of flowers I thought were pretty. Then they pulled flowers to show me them 'live' and I decided on my colors.

when i booked my florist he made a sample for me.
i told him what type of flowers i liked and what general idea i wanted then he made one up for us to come and look at.

i only booked him after i saw the sample and made sure that was what i wanted for that price.
