Hi Everyone, Does anyone know when my FH and I could start booking our honeymoon for our July of 09 wedding? We have an idea what we want, but think it's too early to get started.

I think its too early... if you look through any travel sites or hotel sites you'll see that they don't have rates for your time yet. I think airfare and hotel rates come out like 10 months before (not positive, I forgot exactly)... but either way, its too early too book something unless maybe its some major major attraction... its good though that you've started thinking but for now all you can see is this year's rates

Airfare isn't published until 331 days before you depart.
You may be able to put a package together earlier though if you are working with a travel agent.

Most hotels allow you to book a year in advance. Most flights can be booked 330 days in advance. HTH.

I recently spoke with Travel Tom who said the time to book your HM is 6-9 months before your wedding. My FH also thinks it's too soon to do it now, as we are just outside the 9-month mark.

If you're thinking a hotel stay, most hotels require that the vacation be within 300 days of booking and no more. If it's a cruise, you just have to wait for them to come out (providing that theyre not already out) but they usually come out 18 months-2 years in advance.

Wait till 6 months prior, you'll get better pricing then.
