book your photogs before the wedding.... I was just non the 09 board and I saw that someone tried to book a photog and they are booked already. I was planning on booking in Feb. but now I am panicking....I thought I had a bunch of time.

some of the really popular photogs are booking into 2009. If you know there is a particular one you like I would do it now. Its not like you won't be able to find one if you wait, you just might not get the one you originally wanted, especially if there is only one photog at the company like Thomas Paul, who I am using

I booked with 12th Night at the end of May for my October wedding. They were my first choice so it didn't matter but I did run across 1 photographer that was in my top three that was booked.

depends if it is ONE specific photographer, or a studio...

We booked February '07 for our March '08 wedding. I'm not sure if every photographer will do this, but some of them give you their '07 pricing if you book before 2008

I booked Jan 07 for may 08...but my photographer doesn't book THAT far in advance only the year before your wedding. Jan 07 was the earliest we were able to book her, it was when she started taking appointments for 08.
But there are certain photographers who do book up quickly and book far in advance.

i dont want you to panic - but i booked mine in November 06 for April 09 wedding - but just because I wouldnt settle for anyone if he got booked before I got him!
But i am also super psycho - i have had my dress for almost 2 years already...
hall booked since last august - let's just say i am on top of things
i literally just booked my photo a couple of weeks ago and my wedding is about a year away.....don't panic! There are sooooooooooo many photographers out there.

We booked all our vendors as early as possible - you get better rates that way.

Ok...I am a bit anal too...I figured I had some time and like I said I was going to wait until the end of this year to book....but I am going to make some calls tomorrow and try to get an appointment by next week.

I suppose it is never too early. the earlier you do it the more choices you will have with popular vendors and you will lock in 07 prices
