Just read on the Knot that we should order 5 months before the big day. I dunno why that seems early to me. But guess the time will fly by.

5 months the latest, I think. It doesn't take that long for them to make the invites but then you have to send it to the calligrapher or address it yourself and depending on how many guests you have could take forever. Then you have to send it out 2-3 months before the wedding and hopefully guests will RSVP about a month before the wedding...but if you've been around LIW, you'd know that this is one problem brides have which we have no control over...that's actually one reason why I want replies more than six weeks prior to my wedding. I'm going to have so many hand made stuff for my guests...I need time to make them!

Thanx! what threw me off is that from everything I've read, it doesn't take long at all for them to make up the invites.
Yeah I've read about everybody's rsvp drama on sveral message boards. Somebody should do a study on why it takes folks so long to respond when the thing already has a stamp on it!

I ordered them in January, had them back in 10 days, mailed them in March for my June wedding

My wedding is in June and I ordered my invites in December. The printer thought I was nuts. I received them one week after I ordered them. Find out how long it takes for you to receive them. ALSO...find out how long your calligrapher needs them for.

I'm getting married in July. I ordered my invites from Cathy at Sweet Nut Hut in March. Cathy was really great to work with and was so much help.
And I just mailed them out on Monday
