Ive just been buying clothes that are a size up for now ( at 12 weeks) because Im not really loving the look of the maternity jeans with the stretch panel. Eventually I will have to wear those for now Im in that in between stage.

Your pregnancy seems so similar to me - I bet you will pop anyday like I did - it was so amazing. I think I did about week 23/24 and I woke up and put on a normal shirt and was like hmmm... this wasn't this tight last week...where did this belly come from all of a sudden.

I had to go up a size or two in bottoms pretty early on maybe week 10/12 to fit my hips and thighs and butt. Around week 20-22 - I started introducing some pants and a shirts. About week 24/25 or so, I was wearing maternity tops and bottoms pretty much all the time.

I had a few pairs of pants that were slightly big on me so I was wearing them, now I have a pair of Old Navy maternity jeans that annoy me because they don't stay up . I keep waiting for my belly to pop, hopefully soon. Although, I won't complain because I know there will be a time when I wish I could see my feet.

For me once it has started to pop - I keeps growing and growing. I use to wear maternity pants with DH's belt to help them saty up a little better. I think they don't make maternity pants well. Because even now with a big belly - soem still fall down. I guess because everyone carries so different it is hard. I feel like such a schmo pulling up my pants everytime I stand up.

Re: When did you start wearing maternity clothes?

I think I started wearing them around 16 or 18 weeks. I had this think called a 'BELLA BAND' which was really nothing more than a piece of lycra that you could wear with either your regular clothes that were too tight or with your preggo clothes that were too big. It allows you to wear your reg pants with the botton or zipper open and it holds them up. And with your preggo pants it fits snug enough to hold up your pants. Plus it comes in all different colors so you can get the layered T-shirt look. Here's a pic....

Interesting...how does it slip on?

it's one piece so it goes on like you were putting on slip, The price is ridiculous for the simplicity of it, but it saved me money by not having to buy those in-between clothes.

I'm 29 weeks. I can still wear quite a few of my shirts and sweaters (I always prefer oversized sweaters anyway) so that has been good. I was able to wear my own pants until 20 weeks, I had one pair of pants that still fit until 3 weeks ago.

ETA: They were low rise pants, so they fit me under the belly. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get them on.

I think I may have to start wearing them soon and I'm going into week 9

I prefer my clothes big anyways...but on the weekends I've been living in those jogging suits with stretchy pants or plain ol pajama pants if I'm not going anywhere!

I just ordered this, it looks great. The price is a little steep but if I can wear a few of my regular pants that still fit but won't button it will be so worth it. Plus if it keeps the damn maternity pants up I will be happy, I can't take three steps w/o having to pull them up. It is very frustrating. Thanks for posting it.
