When do i book the DJ?

I assume after we pick a RH (which I hope to G*d is soon!) But how many months prior to the wedding date?

My FH and I listen to such different types of music. Between the two of us we like old school R&B/soul from the 70s and 80s, rock, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Cold Play and more random bands.

Where do I begin?

After RH, your next vendor booking should absolutely be music and photographer...they book up very quickly and I am sure you would like to be able to have your 1st choice...good luck

once u get ur official date & times from ur RH, there's nothing wrong with booking everything as early as u can...u'd be suprised how quick great vendors book up! don't drive urself crazy at all, but my DH and I first waited a month to do anything (just to enjoy being engaged & let it all soak in)...then we booked a majority of our vendors right away....it was nice that for months all we had to worry about was payments - no dissapointments of people we wanted being booked already (and fyi - Tommy Tunes is an AWESOME dj - especially for the music u like! They have amazing packages and i've never EVER been disappointed at a party with them! u'll find mostly - if not all, raves on this site about them...definetly check them out and Joe E. is a GREAT mc) ...ThomasPaul photography is another vendor i HIGHLY reccomend....another awesome find! I have a ton of pics in my review if u wanna take a peak! (again u'll find raves raves & more raves!) good luck! and happy planning!!!

Well we've been engaged since February!! I wanted to start all of this sooner but we never did. I have general ideas of what to do but when it comes to all of the details....ahhhhhhh!!! I get flustered!
