When do I get...

Engagement photos done? It's been 4 months, but there are still 2 years before the wedding. I want them now, but then I heard 6 weeks before the wedding. Can this be right?

you really can do them at anytime......how about doing them and incorporating them into a Save-The-Date (if you're doing them)?

We did ours in Nov and the wedding was in March.

You can do them at any time. I did mine 6 months after I got engaged which was about 2 years before the wedding.

We did ours two months before the wedding. I think you can do them at anytime.

You can get them done at any time. I wanted mine before our engagement party, so I could give them out to everyone. It is up to you!u

I just took mine on Monday. OUr wedding is 8/29/04. We have been engaged for almost a year.

We didnt get any done but I like the idea of doing them early in your engagment so you have kinda a before and your wedding pictures are after....

We got engaged in January and are getting married next June...we are taking our engagement photos this june...we are doing it in central park and wanted to wait for the weather to get nice...if you want to do it now, I say go for it!

Honestly, you can take the pictures anytime you want - there is no law as to when you want to take them.

Just keep in mind the theme of these pictures. Do you prefer the summer? Spring? Fall? Indoor or Outdoor pictures? This perhaps can prolong the wait.

We decided to do a fall theme and took outdoors pictures with the changing leaves - they came out beautiful and it was about 5 months before our wedding.

I would pick your favorite season and have them taken then -- you can use them for so many things before the wedding

We got engaged at disney world, and had a pic taken there which we used for our announcements. We're going to wait 2 years, until the spring befre the weding to do a casual shoot with whatever photogrpaher we choose. However, you can also go to Sears and get them for $4.99 a sheet for now, and do them with the photo person later.

I did them in eng/save the date cards and sent them out about a year before the wedding (I know that isn't the way, you are suppose to send them out 6 months.. but who cares..)
