When do I get my marriage liscense?
My wedding is at the end of June. When do I start the process of getting my marriage liscense? Is it something that takes time and tracking down lots of paperwork?

No longer than 60 days before your wedding as it expires within 60 days. It was a breeze for us - we went to an NYC city clerk office early in the morning and the entire process took about 20-25 mins.....
Nope. It shouldn't take time and you shouldn't really have to track down anything. DH and I both used only our driver's licenses for ID. You have to get the license within 2 months of your wedding date. You have to get it at least 24 hours before the ceremony. Keep in mind, the church might collect it from your at your rehearsal. Good luck!
Good call Jilllllli - our priest did ask for it at our rehearsal!
unless you are in NYC, you need birth certificate, drivers license and divorce papers (if you were previously married) Was really quick and easy!
If you are in NYC, I highly recommend that you fill out the application online (I think its almost like a pre-registration). Then, when you get there they have all your info and the process is MUCH faster.
