I would say that since the rehearsal dinner is just for close family and members of the bridal party, you don't have to worry too much. I'd say a month is soon enough. If they're close enough to be at the rehearsal dinner, then they know to keep time open for wedding things.
I'm doing it like a month before? gives enough time for people to take off from work. most people aren't sure if a rehearsal dinner is Thursday or Friday so it gives them enough time to take off from work. I already had annoying impatient family hounding me when it was. I thought everyone just knew it'd be that Friday lol but I guess it's a new thing to have it Thursday also to save money?
I plan to send mine out a littler bit before the one month mark, I don't want to hear anyone complain they didn't have ample notice. We will probably be sending them next Saturday. Gives people about 1 month 2 weeks notice!
my FMIL is sending them out next week, not sure why so early but she's insisting upon it so I'm just going with it LOL
