When do we buy the veil? Before or After the First Fitting?
Ok, may sound stupid, but how would you know how the veil looks with your dress if you buy it separately? Do I need to wait until I get a swatch of fabric from my dress? How are ya'll doing this?
Oh yeah, what is Tr-County? I saw it on another veil post.

I still haven't found my dress so I can't answer the before or after question. Tri-County is a flea market on Hempstead Tpke in Levittown where you can get your veil done for less $. They also have tiaras, favors and other wedding stuff. But I think their deals on the veils are what is best!

Honestly, I bought my veil off of ebay, not being very sure how it would look with the dress. I only went by the vision I had in my head. Luckily, it goes perfectly, but I'm probably not much of a help

I bought my dress at Davids bridal and bought the tiara and veil at the same time. I tried on like 4 different ones with the dress on to get the whole affect.

I bought mine when i bought my dress. I just knew it was the one I wanted :)

I ordered my dress then went to Tri-county to get my veils and headpeice - if you get the veil in the right color you should have no problems at all. For example my dress is Diamond White, so I made sure to order my veils in the same color.

I ordered my veil before the hair trials begin. I already bought my dress so I know what matches. Tri County is a flea market type thing on Hempstead Tpke in Levittown. The place in there is called Barrons and she custom makes them for CHEAP!

i think it depends on your body type and the shape of your head. place the veil on and see what looks more flattering o you. also, your dress. if your dress has a lot of detailing then a veil with so much detailed work may clash with your dress.

When I got my dress I tried on the veils and tiaras they had there, but I felt totally overwhelmed.
I plan on going back to 'visit' my dress in the next few months and then trying on more of their veils, but will buy it somewhere else bc their prices are out of control! Not sure if I will have it by the first fitting or not.

Like others, I bought my veil and tiarra when I bought my dress. The bridal shop offered me a discount on each and it was easy to invision whether or not they went with the dress!

I'm buying my viel after the first fitting. I'm getting a long viel, so I won't know the measure until them. But your getting a short viel you can get it whenever you want
