when do you begin to talk to you DR

this is our 4th month TTC and my DH tells me that I should make an appt to see why we are not preggo yet. I feel this is too early to be concerned yet and that my DR will tell me just keep trying for a few more months.

when do you talk to your dr?

My doctor told me after a year of trying.
THat is pretty common...is waiting at least a year.

Dr.'s say that if your under 35 you should wait a year. If your over 35, within 6 months.

Honestly, I think it depends on you. No dr. can tell you what you feel. It's your body and if you think something may be wrong then see a dr. right away.

Good Luck to you!!!!!!!

Yeah my doctor said wait one year. If you read up on it the average amount of months it takes for a healthy woman to get PG is about 9 months. Took my friend 7 or 8 months.

This is month 5 (6 really but I dont count the 1st mo because we didnt know what we were doing) for us. I'm tired of it.

I agree with everyone else...most Dr's will say to wait a year before they do anything unless you have a history that makes you feel you need to go now.

Good Luck!!!!!

We're in the same boat. 6 months, but only 5 of really trying.

If it doesn't happen by July, I'm going to the doctor to try to push it to the next level.

It's horrible isn't it? Month after month? I'm getting so drained...
I have my annual OBGYN appointment in the middle of June, I'm going to ask her to start testing me. I'm just going to lie and tell her its been over a year. Why should I have to wait, you know?

I am in the same boat as you ...if nothing happens by June (my annual) then I will lie and say that we have been trying for a a year...

Exactly, I dont think its right to lie...but I want a baby!

Plus since I had the chem PG she knows I am actively trying and not having much luck. Booooo

This *****.

Oh and have I mentioned how much I HATE evaporation lines!!!!!!

We've been trying since July and I'm going to see a doctor in May. I just want to make sure everything is ok with me, bc I certainly feel like there's something just not right when I see everyone around me having babies!

ETA: I also have bad family pregnancy genes/issues which is adding to my skepticism. I would say though that I wouldn't see a doctor after only 4 mos. IMO that's too soon to tell unless you have a family history like mine or really think there's something wrong. I know how frustrating it is though.
