When do you book tuxes?

I was just wondering when I should do this???

I didnt think it needed to be rushed.

I went to 2 places they suggested

not far in advance at all!! We went to check out a place last night and the guy said he can do it in as little as two weeks before, but that the bride would probably kill the groom if he actually did that!!! Heck ya I would! He also mentioned that you want to be careful around prom season because then it might take longer or they might have less to offer. I still want FH to take care of that sooner then later.

I did it at the 4 month mark.......Feldman Esquire in Merrick was awesome.....we got a brand new style Perry Ellis tux that wont be in until April for $140 a person......the groom is free........and dads were only $100

It depends where you go. I know that they did not let us book the tuxes until at least 6-8 weeks before the wedding. I was freaking since OCD hit me hard - that I would have to wait so close to the wedding. Everything worked out fine though.

we booked like 3.5 months before the wedding.

The tux place at our bridal store told me to book in April and our wedding is in July. Wherever you decide to go I would just ask them what they rpefer

we're 4 months away and just went today to pick something out, she said the guys have to be measured by the latest May 28 which is a month before. She also said it's always better to pick it out early and then let the guys trickle in to get measured bc they get busy during the summer months for rentals.

It depends, you can do it as early as 4-6 months ahead, but 2-3 months is pretty normal. However, if you're getting married during Prom season, which I am, you should go asap!!! HTH!!

ETA: Cindy you don't have to worry about prom, but I thought it would help the other ladies!!!

FH went last month and they told him to come back with me in march with a swatch of teh girls dresses.

Thanks....I think I will wait to have the dress swatch which wont be until May anyway then go in june after the prom rush!!!
