When do you bustle up?

After ceremony? After introduction at the reception?

I wasn't sure, my bridal attendant told me it's normally after the first dance so that is when I did it (but I believe some people do it before the reception). I actually really like our first dance pics and how the dress is!

Since I plan on attending my cocktail hour and that immediately follows the ceremony, I will bustle after the ceremony but before the cocktail hour otherwise the train will be destroyed.

i say do it when you want to...maybe you can have a loop put in and you can hang it from your wrist for the first dance..that looks pretty...and then bustle it..or if your more comfortable bustling it after the ceremony do it then..its your wedding do what you want!

I had it bustled right after the ceremony. DH and I had our own cocktail hour in the bridal suite for 20 mins and then we joined everyone else. I was glad I bustled it before the 1st dance b/c the dress was a pain to keep holding up and everyone would've stepped all over the dress if I left the train down during the reception.

Right after the ceremony. Frankly, I didn't have a choice. My bridal attendant just did it and I was glad. I'm glad that was one decision I didn't have to make!

I bustled and took off my veil right after the ceremony. In retrospect, I should have waited until after the cocktail hour because I was still taking pictures for the first half of my cocktail hour because I would have liked more pictures of the full length of my gown.

My train is actually removable, but I never thought about this before!! I'm thinking I'll have it taken off before we're announced into the reception.

It has a gorgeous back so I don't think I'd really be losing anything. Plus FH is going to have a hard enough time dancing, I don't want to make it any more difficult for him by having my train sweeping the floor!!

I didn't have a train, but the back of the gown was very long and heavy. So, I was bustled up for the first dance and I think that was about it. The rest f the night it was unbustled.

I guess it depends on how long your train is but I did it after the 1st dance, then it fell down and I didnt fix it until about a half an hour before the reception ended.

i had a small chapel train but bustled it first thing at the reception. it was hard enough slow dancing with my hubby who is a foot taller than me---didn't want anymore obstacles!
