The thread on church decorations got me thinking - who the heck puts the pew bows on?? And do I have to take them off - there is a wedding right after mine!

My florist decorated the church before the mass including floral decorations on the alter, pews bows and flowers.

My mom's friends are putting on my pew bows. They are also all making them too (my mom and her friends are kind of crafty and they make the pew bows for all of the children's weddings. Basically, they have white ones and ivy ones and they decorate them with the wedding colors and some ivy)
I think if there is a wedding after you, you might want to talk to the next bride and offer to let her use yours. That would be a nice gesture.

You should get in touch with the couple getting married after you. Both of you can split the cost of the decorations. Then you are responsible for decorating the church and the other couple is responsable for the clean up.

my future sister in law is putting up the pew bows and bringing the unity candle. the florist is doing the flowers of course. :)

I think the florist should be the one doing it for you. I think the fee you pay to the church takes care of all the clean up.

There may be a wedding before mine, and 5 pm mass after mine, I gues the church staff would clean up.
Otherwise I'll have to recruite my cousins. We have until 7 for the CH though, so they could saty if they had to. I guess at soempoitn I have to ask the church about what time thay can let the florist in to decorate.

They are a great group of women. So far they have done 7 weddings. The bows just get redecorated with coordinating ribbon and a new piece of ivy is attached

my fh's grandmother gave me a bunch of pew bows, she volunteered fh's aunt to put the bows on the pews so ill take her up on it
