We are getting it three weeks before because it will be the last time we are in NY before the wedding.

Just check and see how long they are good for. I think it is something like 30 days.

i think you can go as early as 60 days before and it also can't be less than 48 hours before the wedding.

The marriage license we got in Nassau was only good for 30days.
So we got it 2 weeks before the ceremony.
Oddly enough that's also another thing I no longer have to worry about.. WHOOHOO!

We got ours 58 days before our wedding. We got it in a local clerks office & there was no wait at all. It only took 10 minutes!

Probably around a month or so before. I'm not 100% sure how long it is valid for (30 or 60 days)

i am getting married in may so i am picking upthe license in april 20 the license is good for 60 days after the daY ISSUED

We Plan on getting our marriage license 2-3 weeks before the wedding.

it's valid for 60 days when you get it...so any time within that period before the big day

Angela, we got ours about 2-3 weeks before because it's only good for about 31 days.

As far as I know you can go up to 60 days before the date of your wedding. We'll probably go about a month before.
