The unity candle?? We lit it right after we exchanged rings. It symbolized that we bacame one!!

I went to a wedding last month where they did it at the very end of the ceremony.

I wanted to light the candle as a memory candle.

Oh, we lit the memory candle as soon as I came down the isle, before anything began. The priest told everyone that My DH and I would be lighting a cadle in memory of my brother and we walked up to te alter and lit it together, while the organist played Ave Maria. I wanted to do it right away before anything, because to me it was a symbol that my brother was there!!
