I should be going to church so I can find out some of these answers but I am not a morning person at all. My wedding is in 4 1/2 months. People in my bridal party are already asking when the rehearsal is at the church. Three are coming in from NJ where they live.
When is this normally decided? My Priest is a bit rigid and mentioned in the beginning that it may be a Tuesday. My BM from NJ have patients and students but he didn't seem to care. I will get too wound up if it's the night before the wedding, Friday night for Sat wedding so I prefer a Thursday night. Also so my BM's can come and take off only Friday, not come on Tuesday and have to go all the way home to come back again!
Should we have confirmed a date by now with the priest?

Do you have alot of out of town guests that you care if they are at the rehearsel dinner or not? I'm gonn ghave them so I'm gonna do it the week before cause I'd rather it be wedding related and no out of towners. If you want them there, then it would have to be the night or 2 days before

My wedding is on a Sat, the rehearsal is the day before at 6p.

I believe you should call a month before you would like the rehearsal to set up a time with the priest. We are definitely going to be having ours 2 days before the wedding because the day before I know I am going to need to do some last minute things with my mom and I am planning on having a mani/pedi party with the BMs and a sleep over at my mom's where we will be getting ready the day of.

That's what I intend to do. So, I gather it's arrange a month or two prior from what everyone wrote. Don't I get a say? I don't like the priest forcing it to be a Tuesday when too many of my BM's are from NJ. I don't want it Friday, the night before. Thursday would be best so they can come and only take one day off from work and just stay until after the wedding is over.
Can't the priest work with me or does he believe he has divine intervention? :)

I think you can pick when you want it, so long as it's available. I'm actually meeting with the priest next weekend to hand in all our paperwork and I'm going to ask him about scheduling the rehearsal. I know FMIL wants to book the dinner soon, too.

I would think that they would try to work with you... It might not work out depending on what they have going on... At my church, they have religion classes, music rehearsals, special masses that go on during the week at night....

we're actually suppose to meet with the priest very soon so we'll set everything up. but i think i'll have it the thursday before the wedding

I met with my deacon in October and I made mine for a Thursday around 6:30 and Im getting married on Saterday.

i don't meet with the priest until a month before the wedding, not to mention whenever i call i NEVER get a call back i think i'll schedule it for the thursday before though.

I planned my already...It's the Thursday night b-4 my Saturday wedding. I needed to plan my RD and requested the date...they gave it to me...I'm not getting married for another 5 months
