Are you following guidelines or sending out invitations early because of A and B list.

i sent my STD last week and i will send my invitations right before thanksgiving so they will get there on time with all the christmas mailing that goes on

I'm not doing STD's and I was thinking of waiting until the beginning of January to send out my invites. .. is that too late? The wedding is in the last weekend of March...

Most places say to send 6-8 weeks prior however I am sending mine in May as well

i'm sending my std out about a year in advance, since we are getting married memorial day weekend.
our actual invites will be sent out in february, 3 months before the wedding.

I'm doing STD around October and sending invites 2 months before the wedding. Your my almost date twin so I'm gonna follow your timeline.

Hopefully I am getting my STD's out the end of May, and I will probably send out my invites the beginning of Jan. For a mid April wedding

i am sending them out 8 weeks before
they have to book the hotel at least one month before to get the discount SO i want to make sure they have enough time.

I'm sending STD's this month (well....May). And I'm not sure about my invites yet since it will be around the Christmas season....so either they will be sent at the beginning of December or the beginning of January......

GOOD QUESTION.
I actually need some advice on this. My wedding is March 15. If I send them out about 3 months before, then the invites will be mixed up in all the Christmas Card nonsense. I dont want to do it after the middle of Jan...So I guess sometime between Christmas and New Years.
What do you guys think?

i would NOT send any invites out earlier then 8 weeks. . . people will put them to the side and forget about them!
i even think 8 weeks is early and i am only doing that bc of the hotel situation

I am doing it because of hotel situation and the A and B list thing.
Hopefully people will send back right away (yeah right)
