I've had tons of people going through my parents to ask us where we have registered, but we haven't really given it a thought.
Our date is at the end of October and it seems really early to me to do it now?
Whats the status quo on this?

Re: When do you register?
So of all the 'wedding stuff' that was on our master TO DO list, registering was our least favorite. So, we decided to knock it out first! We registered soon after (like 3 weeks) after we got engaged and I am SO happy we did. We have 6 months till the wedding and registering is the farthest thing from my mind. I am so swamped with doing all the little details now so I am really glad we did it early.
HTH!!

I don't think it's too early to do it now. You are getting married in 4 months which means your shower will prob be coming up within the next two months or so. People are going to want to buy you stuff off your registry for the shower. I think you should do it soon.

Re: When do you register?
Hi date twin. We just registered last week, at least got the bulk of the items done. My shower is on September 8th. I don't think you should wait too much longer. It usually takes about two to three trips to register for everything.

Re: When do you register?
If you're having a shower, you should register soon. My shower is August 26th (not a surprise) so my mom plans to send out invites in beginning of July so my registry has to be completed by then.

Re: When do you register?
i did it a little less than 6months before because people were HOUNDING my mom. it actually worked out well because it gave people the option to buy REALLY nice gifts if they went on sale throughout that time(and they did!) u just have to watch (& ur store should contact u) in case things are going to be discontinued(its usually just seasonal stuff). I was glad i did because my mom had my shower pretty early (3 1/2 months before our wedding) which is why she probably told me people were asking lol. anyways, i dont think its ever really TOO early - besides, better to get it out of the way now then to have to worry about it later when u have a million other things to do!!!
