When do you send out invites...

Our wedding is July 28....would April 1st be a good date to send or is that too early...

i would send it out about 3 mths in advance, this gives guests 6 wks to reply and then you have 6 wks after the reply date to finalize things

honestly I think that is a bit too early, because people might see your RSVP date, figure they have time, and put the invitation to the side for a while (and then forget). I would send them out between 10 and 12 weeks before the wedding, and have an rsvp date about a month before the wedding.

I am getting married April 20th... RSVP is March 20th and I am sending out my invitations January 20th!

If you've already sent out save the dates, do you have to send invites so early? My date is April 28, invites being sent the last week of February or the first of March. My rsvp date is April 6.

Maybe I should send them out sooner I don't know

definitely send them out sooner, esp. If you have a B list. The Knot has an organization tool for C list guests! if you're going to be on someone's C list, I wonder what they says about the bride and groom

ours will go out first week of Feb for a March 6 RSVP. We'll then be sending out B list invites for an RSVP of April 6th (when our RH needs the count).

3 months. You need time to track down people that don't RSVP.

So i sent out my invites a week ago and have gotten 25 responses. If i had a b list and any of those response had been no, i have only lost a week on sending those out. you can easily send them out with only 4 wks to respond. after that- it feels like a B list

I'm sending mines 3 months before, I have a B List and I would like to give some time in between to get some No's and also to make sure that my B List would have enough time to RSVP and not feel like they're second choice.

I think that might be a bit early- if you send them out like end of April & that would be more than enough time

it's a bit early. I am getting married on 7/1 an sending around 4/1 - 4/15 with an RSVP by 5/27.

I sent mine out on Monday (Jan 9) and reply date is Feb 29 wedding March 31

I think sooner is always safer. 3 months before with 6 weeks to let them respond. Then you have plenty of time to hassle all the people who didn't send a response card back.
