When do you start the 'search'? I have significant amount of weight to lose and I dont want to look horrible the first time I see myself in the mirror I think it might devestate me

Is a year before the wedding date too late???

Well they say most dresses take anywhere from 6-8 months to come in, then the alterations start so you might want to give yourself just a little more time.

some dress designers require more than a year to order the dress...others only a few months...so i guess it depends on who u go with

im doing a year before!!! talked to some dress shops and they say it's fine

I order mine alread but I completely feel in love with it.. they told me is going to take around 9m to arrive

I am going to wait until this summer. That should give me 14-15 months. hope thats enough

I'm going shopping in May, so about a year in advance for me. I can't wait!!!

I plan to start a year before. I am not too worried. Many people aren't even engaged for a full year!

Yea, I think the general consensus is a year before.
