I realized he was the one on our first date - I told him that I didn't want to marry him (I don't know WHY) and then immediately wished that I'd never said that. He still teases me about it!

I knew FH was the one when he happily accepted an invitation to a family function where he would not only meet my entire immediate family, but my entire EXTENDED family as well. HE handled it like a trooper.
(that actually sounded better than 'because he actually called me after our first date')

um, probably when he flew me to NY for the first time to meet his family...after just a few months...and the subsequent weekends he'd fly down to NC to see me over the summer (he was in law school in NC when we met)
no guy does that sort of thing (unless they are RICH and trying to impress you...which was NOT his case/motive) unless he's truly interested/in love.
the generousity of flying me up made me view him in a whole new light....that and once we both had the same idea of how to make a nice romantic surprise for the other...we both showed up at the same time at his apt. with boxes of candles to spread all over the place!!!

I would say right from the start but I definetly knew he was the one when I went away to school and I didnt meet anyone half as interesting than he was. I knew I would always be happy with him and although our long distance relationship was tough our realtionship only got stronger.

I know this is super cheesy, but, I met FH when I was 13, he was 16. he didn't want to date me because that is such a age gap. ANYWAY, I remember one day we were sitting next to eachother outside looking at the stars and taling (as friends) and he looked at me nd said 'I know I'm going to marry you' and I knew as well. We started dating when I was 19 and he said (on our first offical date) 'Do you remember when we were young (er) and I told you you were going to be my wife someday? I still feel that way!' and I still felt that way. And now, 12 years later, I can still hear those words in my head and get butterflys!

The fact that he actually called me the day after our first date...never had that happen before...he wasn't into the stupid dating 'games' which I loved......and we said 'I love you' pretty soon into the relationship

I knew for most of the reasons that everyone else did. But this whole wedding process is making me fall even more in love with him because he is my rock through all of this and he always has been. I have never found another person who cares about making me happy more than he does.

first date- we went to dinner in Bayville, and i laughed so hard i almost cried.
after dinner we watched a post 4th of July fireworks show across the water (which we stumbled on totally by accident).
then we ate fat free cool whip and peanut butter in front of his tv while watching gladiator and sitting in his arm felt so natural and i didnt want to leave (and we still eat cool whip & peanut butter in front of the tv today)
that was the first time in a very long time that i had that feeling about someone..

He just completely captivated me and he still does. I knew he was the one the second I saw him. When I still know he is the one is in moments like realizing he and my dad have each other's numbers programmed into their phones and call each other once in a while (if you knew my dad, you would know this is SPECIAL!!!!!)

The first time he kissed me I got butterflies in my stomach, which had never happened to me before! But the reason I always say why I knew I would marry him is because we don't fight. I have had those on and off relationships in the past, but we are not that way. He will never hang up the phone without saying 'I love you' and we never go to bed without telling each other we love each other and 'goodnight' on the phone. (We have been long distance for years now). We are also so comfortable with each other, so I have no problem imagining myself living with him forever!

We had known each other already as friends for a couple of years. I moved to Queens and a year after, I came back to live with my parents on Long Island for the summer. We started dating and a month or so later he took me to meet his grandmother all the way out east. We went boating and then went to Claudio's for dinner and once we got back to his house we sat down to watch the Soprano's and he turned to me and said 'I had so much fun today. I love you.' I moved back to Queens a month later and he came to see me every weekend and got seven parking tickets in two months because he drove a commercial truck and wasn't allowed to park it on the street. He didn't even care about the tickets and would drive to see me anyway. I finally moved back because seeing him only for the weekend was not long enough.

There were a lot of things in the beginning and I will say that now, after 10 years together, I still get butterflies every time we kiss, and I still get butterflies every night when he comes home and I see him or hear his voice
