I feel like this whole this isn't real. I don't know if it's because I've been dreaming of this for so long or what, but I don't even feel like I'm getting married. Maybe because the date is so far away? I even tried dresses on the other day and it didn't even hit me that I had a wedding gown on. Am I the only one?

I was just asking wondering to myself yesterday how it doesn't feel real and I don't know why. And for me it's not an excited 'Wow this doesn't feel real' ... and I want to feel that way but I haven't yet. Maybe our wedding dates are too far away. I have no idea. Sorry I don't have any insight.

I am feeling the exact same thing!! I say almost everyday that I can't believe I am planning a wedding or getting married. It is a weird feeling....but defenitely an great feeling....know what I mean?

i had my first 'real' moment when i put money down on a dress(unfortunately that dress is not it anymore lol)
but since then, it hasn't hit me yet!

I don't feel it yet either. I haven't tried on any dresses yet though I'm kind of nervous to set an appointment because I think thats when I'm going to get that feeling. I've been planning for so long I'm actually scared to actually do things.

the first moment that I thought 'Wow this is real' is when the church was booked. True, we booked the RH before we booked the church (had to wait til Jan of this year to do so) but for me, the church is where it all happens! And the fact that I was in contact with the priest, talked to him on the phone, gave him all our info and he saved our May 7, 2011 date, it totally made it REAL for me.

None of this feels real at all to me... it's so crazy!!! Even when I'm trying on dresses and looking in the mirror, its like omg, but still feels like a dream..
I think once more things get booked it will start feeling like it, I hope!

We're married 6 months and I moved 500 miles away from where I grew up / lived and I still don't feel like it's completely real... lol

It's still not feeling real for me right now either, I totally know how you feel! We haven't booked anything yet, but have been planning a bit already. We have the guest list already worked out, but that's about it.

I agree with the other girls- when 2010 hit I was like HOLY CRAP we are getting married this year!!!
Once it is your year, I think it will definitley hit you.
