This whole getting married thing still doesn't seem real to me. Even after having all my vendors booked, dresses ordered, ring on my finger... I still don't feel like a 'bride.' When will it happen? Has it happened for you yet?

When you get your invitations. That sealed it for me. I must have gotten them over two months ago and I look at it every day.

I got my invites and I must say it also was the clincher for me. Each day it feels more real.

well - I get my invites in a week or so, so I'm hoping that it becomes real to me then, because so far I feel like I'm in a dream!

When I got my invitations in & then I tried 'my actual' dress on & scheduled the fitting!!!

For me, it was this past weekend when we registered and then it was even more real when I mailed out our E-party invites yesterday.

To be honest, it still doesn't feel real.
I have the invites, but that didn't do it. I said 'Wow, well, we have to get married now' But it didn't have the affect I thought it would.
I haven't seen my 'real' dress - so that COULD do it for me.
Maybe getting wedding rings or booking the honeymoon?
I have no idea. Not even having a SHOWER did it for me. I really don't tihnk I am getting married!
I have a feeling it'll come on strong the last couple of months! (which I am approaching)!!!

We met with the priest on Monday and he kept talking about marriage, children, commitment until we die...that made it real.
But i know what you mean, other than that I don't always feel like a bride.

I am with SIBride. It has not hit me yet. Not after the dress, not after the florist, nope I had ChristineAE make me awesome monograms, that sort of helped but I dont have that COMPLETE WOW 'I am a bride' yet.

I feel like Bridezilla - does that count?? Seriously though, I'm not really feeling it full time. I get flashes, like when I signed the contract for the hall I was like 'OMG I'm getting married' but it was only for an instant. I'm hoping it will not hit before the day of the wedding - I don't want to have a month long panic attack!

For me, it came in little pieces...like when MY dress came in and i got to try it on-so exciting. Then it was finalizing plans with the hall, applying for the marriage license etc..
BUT the real moment of OH MY GOD I'M GETTING MARRIED would have to have been the morning of..when the limo pulled up to get me and the bridesmaids. My heart was pounding out of my chest from sheer excitement/nerves. Then walking down the aisle was the cincher. Its the best feeling :)

I've gotten it in bits and pieces also. I received my invites and I was very emotional and happy. I have 'the' dress . That gave me a major OMG!!!
But truthfully, I don't think I'll get it until that morning when we're all dressed up and ready to go. Seeing my son in his suit might do it (he's giving me away )

It still hasn't hit me either!! I Look at my ring and all my vendor contracts and it still doesn't feel real. I thought after I sent out my STD's it would hit me. But nothing!!! I guess I'll just have to wait.
