Is it when he is officially declared a candidate at the convention?

Does he have any idea of who it may be, or has anyone been talking about it?

I am so ignorant when it comes to politics so I have no idea who he is considering. I believe the convention is in the summer.

I don't know if he has chosen or not, but he had some really nice things to say about John Edwards this morning on NPR...

I personally hope he chooses Wesley Clark, but I doubt it would actually happen.

This isn't very exciting news, but AP reported that Kerry plans to make an announcement about 'his running mate selection process' either today or tomorrow.

I was wondering if they do that.
But if you were running for Pres, wouldn't it be hard to then be second fiddle.

naaaaa, FH was a big Wesley Clark fan but he totally didn't do it for me, unfortunately...
my GUESS is that Edwards or Gephardt have a better shot than Clark...

Re: When does Kerry pick a VP Canidate??
Edwards has said in the past that he would not consider being a VP candidate, that is was the White House or nothing for him. But now that he lost the nomination, he may reconsider. It would be a good move for Kerry, as hes from MA and has a lot of the New England and west coast locked, but Edwards has the backing from the South (a la Clinton) so the two of them would be more powerful together.
I assume Kerry will want to get moving on picking his running mate soon, since he is going to have to start campaigning against Bush and that will be a question for him.
