and how do you know what month you're in? I'm 20 weeks and 2 days. I don't know if I have completed my 5th month yet or not. I guess on Feb 7th it will be 5 months from my LMP, but is that the date I should go by to find out how mnay months I am?

I was going to wait as long as possible, but that didn't work out. I just couldn't hold it in. I told them right as I entered my 2nd tri. I told one person at work who suggested that I just go ahead and tell my boss, since I have to do eventually anyway. I don't work in the corporate sector, so it's not totally male-dominated (although my boss is a single male, in his late 30s). He was very happy for me, and seems quite supportive. I haven't taken many days off, and my work hasn't suffered so that helps.
I don't have any regrets that I told them. Everyone is really nice and I enjoy sharing what's going on.

Yes thats the date you use. Start from your LMP and count forward.
3rd tri starts at end of 27-beginning of 28th week

Nina I start my 15th week in about two days and I was playing to wait until my 5th month starts...I can't fit into anything, are you showing yet?

When I wear baggy sweaters I'm showing a little, but when I wear my cute new maternity shirts (from Motherhood and Old navy) I look like I'm 6 month pg!! I've been worried about how round my whole middle looks, starting from under my breasts, I'm going to ask my midwife if I'm growing normally or not. Of course I love it, and it's great that I can show off that I'm pregnant, but I think I look bigger than I should. Maybe it's the style and material of the shirts, they truly shows off the belly. Or, maybe it's b/c I'm only 5 feet tall.
I wasn't able to fit into my pants from the beginning, so I bought elastic waists (yuck), since maternity pants were too big.
Wait until you're ready, or until you can't hide it anymore to tell your boss. Does anyone at work know? It's so hard, isn't it?

ONLY my friend knows at work and it kind of stinks because I can't button my regular slacks and the maternity clothes (the pants that is) are too big so when I'm sitting down at my desk I unbutton them and they are so tight now that I wear long button down sweaters.
I also went to Motherhood maternity and yes their clothes make you look so pregnant, I wore one of their shirts to work and I thought I'd give myself away so I kept on my jacket. Nina I'm sure you are growing just fine, I'm 5'5' and me and hubby are still trying to figure out which is baby and which is my fat!!

Just curious, what are you waiting for to tell your boss? It might be hard to wait until your 5th month. For me, it was less stressful after I told them. I was more relaxed and able to enjoy myself.
I hear you about the pants! Did you try the rubber band trick?
I'm also having a hard time seperating the fluffiness from the baby!! LOL!
