who gets preference? Mom's friends or my own? I have tables on my side in this order so far
1. Mom/Aunts/Uncles 2. BP, etc 3. Family 4. Family 5. Mom's friends 6. Mom's friends 7. My friends 8. My friends
Should my friends come before Mom's or does it matter? I almost like my friends where they are cuz they're closer to the bar...but I feel like they are sooo far away from the sweetheart table!
Are there no rules for this? I bet there aren't and I'm just overthinking this like I do for EVERYTHING!

Im figuring out mine as well now. Sorry this wont be of much help, but its one of those things where you make the call as the bride. I see the point of them being close to the bar, but maybe theyd like to be closer to you? Id say go with your gut feeling on this one.

honestly, id put them by the bar. when i go to friends weddings, i appreciate being close to the bar, especially since youll be at the sweetheart table for such a short amount of time. they will spend time with you where it counts -- on the dance floor!!!

I had the same problem. I ended up putting a friends table on either side and closest to us. I was very happy with my decision., but you need to do what works best for you. I had a lot of my friends coming in from out of state and although I love to spend time with my family I knew that I wanted to spend time with my friends without haivng to get up and wonder away from our sweetheart table and DH.
OH, I originally was going to put my friends by the bar b/c I thought 'Perfect'! When I told my friends (which happen to be only my closest) they were nots o excited. They are there for you not for the bar
ETA: Just keep in mind (my mom said this to me and it help put my mind at a little more ease) 'You arent going to make everyone happy'.
