After your offer is accepted you should get the house inspected. Do not sign the contract until it is inspected.

ETA: I had the home we are buying inspected 3 week ago. FM for the inspectors name if you need some help.

As soon as your bid is accepted you have to bring in a home inspector. I loved ours, we got a binder of information on our home. FM me if you would like his name.
