I'd tell everyone 11:30. The last thing you want is someone walking in as you're walking down the aisle.

no later than 11:45 - so they'll be on time even if they show up a few minutes late.

I put a half hour before ceremony on my invites

we were told to put down 1/2 an hour before the ceremony starts.

It should be a half hour before the ceremony starts. Your hall should be able to confirm that but I am sure it wouldn't be much less than that.

I have to put the exact time, it says in my contract that the times MUST coincide!! Make sure you check before you order your invites, I read other girls had this problem and didn't know until after their invites were ordered

I put 1 hour because I am having a refreshment hour before the ceremony which will start half hour before the ceremony. I wanted everyone to be on time because my ceremony is going to be short

I put the exact time it's going to start. I know when I go to a wedding I get there about 15-25 minutes before the start time...and if I had to wait another 15-30 on top of that, because I was given the wrong time...I'd be annoyed. Just my honest opinion. I didn't want to do that to anyone. If we're missing anyone that important when the time comes...we'll delay the start. But hopefully it will all go off at 7pm as planned (give or take a few (5) minutes).

My ceremony is at 7 and we put 6:30 on the invite. I debated putting 6:45 but our hall, my FH, and a lot of the LIW girls suggested 6:30 so I went with the popular vote

half hour, I just hope people aren't confused and get there even earlier!

Re: When getting married at the Hall....

I put 6:15 on the invites...and the ceremony starts at 6:30. (I know I'm taking a chance) I was afraid of my guests arriving too early and see us finishing up taking pictures. I really don't want my guests to see me in my dress until I walk down the isle. (the good thing is my family is usually very punctual...and those who are cronically late are in the limo with me, so they have no choice but to be on time)

I'm walking at 11:15 and put 11 on invites. I'm just spreading the word that it is starting promptly at 11.

I put the exact time on my invites - The only way to get my aunts there on time would be having the day before on the invite.

Doesn't your hall do something before the ceremony? If so, the point of that is to get people there on time so whatever time they're starting that is when you should put on the invite. It's usually a half hour before (we're having champagne and fresh fruit for the guests).

I put the exact time (6:00) on the invites....didnt want my guests to wait longer than they had to...also my Banquet manager told me that we probably wont start the wedding till 610...im having one of those short ceremonies lol so by 630 we should be done, yeah!
